In this day and age, celebs and influencers can make a career off social media posts alone. Let's take Kim Kardashian as an example, although 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' grew her fame, she makes more on a social media post compared to an entire season if you can believe, "We would not be who we are today without Keeping Up With the Kardashians and that’s why we continue to share our lives,” Kim explained. "Even if, realistically, we can post something on social media and make more than we do a whole season.” As Kim admitted in the past, Instagram is her favorite of all the social media platforms. Making all that money, it would be ours as well... "Out of all of the social media tools I use, Instagram definitely has the most pressure," she admitted. "I'm really particular about how my Instagram looks, but I love how I get to be really creative. I even use apps like Un Um to help curate my feed."

Of course, with all those millions of followers, 219 million to be exact, a few of those aren't real... in fact, almost half are fake robot accounts. In terms of quantity, Kim is definitely on top of the list, however, calculating percentages, there are a few current celebs ahead of Kim on social media. Let's find out who they are.
Given Ellen DeGeneres' current standing, she might be adding a few more fake followers to her account. According to Bazaar, Ellen is in lead, with an estimated 49% of her followers said to be fake robot accounts. BTS comes in at number two on the list with 47%, while the likes of Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim are also on the list, with an estimated 43%-46% of their accounts made up of fake followers.

Digging a little deeper, these numbers seem to make a lot of sense. Let's take Ellen for example, who has close to 100 million followers. Despite those numbers, her videos are just getting over one million views and some, just over half a million which really doesn't seem to add up. Her views should be a little higher up and so should the like count.
Other surprising names also make the list and that includes the likes of Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, who are both at 46% of fake followers. Among the other names includes Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Priyanka Chopra.
A name fans might be surprised to see not make the top list is Dwayne Johnson, who has 234 million followers and is amongst the elite in terms of getting likes on his photos. Seems like Dwayne has a loyal fanbase that's a little more organic than the rest. It'll be interesting to see how the percentages change and who might rise up in the upcoming years.
