Described as a “fun ’80s style action monster film”, the Hensman Brothers’ creature feature The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus will be receiving a theatrical release on June 7th, with a digital release to follow exactly one month later, on July 7th. With those release dates drawing near, a trailer for The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus has arrived online, and you can check it out in the embed above.
Directed by the Hensman Brothers from a screenplay by Matthew Hensman and Gustavo Sainz de la Peña, The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus centers on
U.S. Soldiers in Afghanistan who become trapped inside a cave with a mythical creature the locals call KARNOCTUS!
The film stars Nick Chinlund (The Chronicles of Riddick), Kevin Grevioux (Underworld), Adrian Paul (Highlander: The Series), and Danny Trejo (Machete).
I was already sold on The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus as soon as I saw the cast list and read the “’80s style action monster film” description, but judging by the trailer it does look like it’s going to be entertaining. If you agree and would like to help the film make its way out into the world, the filmmakers have launched an IndieGogo campaign to raise funds for the release and promotion.
The Hensman Brothers are Matthew Hensman and Cire Hensman. The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus marks the feature directorial debut of Matthew, but Cire previously directed the 2019 sci-fi movie Simply Us.
